Auditions are required for entry into all music degree programs and for academic scholarship consideration.
Students who wish to major in music should apply for admission to the University, complete the Academic Scholarship portion of the application, and audition for music faculty.
Students who are not planning to major in music, but who are interested in participating in music ensembles may audition for an Ensemble Participation Grant.
All auditions require advance registration. Students may request an audition during an Open House, Road Trip or other campus visit. Students auditioning on weekdays are encouraged to spend the day observing classes and rehearsals, and meet with music professors by advance request.
