Dr. Bootz teaches trombone, euphonium, tuba and music theory. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Evansville, Dr. Bootz was trombonist with the Aspen Chamber Symphony, second trombone with the Aspen Symphony Orchestra, principal trombone of the Santa Fe Opera Company and a substitute/extra with the San Francisco Symphony. As a leading interpreter of new music, Dr. Bootz has performanced at the International Trombone Festival, Electronic Music Midwest, the Florida Electroacoustic Music Festival and the International Computer Music Conference. He has presented guest solo recitals at colleges and universities throughout the Mid-west. Dr. Bootz also holds a Master of Science in computing science from the University of Evansville.
