What
to expect when you enroll:
- One-hour
parent training class plus one-half hour childrens’ group experience each
week during the first semester. Parent training includes instruction about
Dr. Suzuki’s philosophy of teaching and learning, about how to play the
violin and about how to work with your child. Parents are required to be at
ALL lessons with their children.
- After
the first semester, instruction occurs during a one-hour session with 3-5
children and their parents participating plus a one-hour large group
experience with other children at a similar level of accomplishment.
- At
the end of two semesters of instruction or at the discretion of the teacher
instruction occurs during a one-half hour private lesson and one-hour group
lesson each week.
- Children
and parents participate in recitals and performances throughout the academic
year.
- It
is expected that beginning families will commit to a minimum of one year of
study.
