If you want a career that combines the love of music and the desire to work in a helping profession, then music therapy may be the course of study for you.

Students seeking to enter the music therapy program must first complete the admission requirements for the University as outlined by the Admissions Office. www.evansville.edu/prospects/admission/information.asp

Career Opportunities

Music therapists have opportunities to work with all ages of people in all walks of life and with all types of disabilities.  According to the most recent AMTA survey, music therapists work with over 40 different client populations, in 47 work settings.  The top four work settings are schools, self-employment or private practice, nursing homes or assisted living facilities, and inpatient psychiatric units.  For more information visit the American Music Therapy Association website at www.musictherapy.org.
