Dr. Wylie received her undergraduate degree in music education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and
advanced degrees, including her doctorate, from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas. Prior to teaching she
worked as a music therapist for two residential schools that served children with multiple handicaps and severe
developmental delays. Other clinical experience has included adults with mental handicaps, children with disabilities,
the elderly and terminally ill, children with Rett Syndrome, and patients with medical conditions and head trauma.
She has given more than 25 presentations at national, regional and state music therapy conferences and workshops and
has articles and books reviews that have appeared in the Journal of Music Therapy and Music Therapy Perspectives.
She has served as president of the Great Lakes Region of American Music Therapy Association and currently serves the
AMTA as Speaker of the Assembly of Delegates, a member of the Board of Directors, and a member of the Executive
Committee.

Ms. Cordell received her double undergraduate degrees in music therapy and music education from Shenandoah Conservatory of Music in Winchester, Virginia. Since that time she has completed two advanced degrees; one in psychology from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania and another in music therapy from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Ms. Cordell has twenty plus years as a clinician working primarily in the geriatric field, but also with a variety of clients in a small private practice. She established the music therapy internship program at Quincy United Methodist Home in Quincy, Pennsylvania and served as its clinical training director for over 12 years. Currently, she is an active member of the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) and the Indiana Music Therapy (IMT) association and serves on the IMT executive board as their secretary.
