	Friends of UE Music Assistantship Information and Application The Friends of UE Music Assistantship Endowment Fund was established in 2006 to provide financial support for deserving students who will be expected to help and support the UE Department of Music. Students may apply for these assistantships in the spring of each year. Assistantships of $500 are awarded each academic year. The following criteria are considered in the awarding of the assistantships: Ability to present a positive image of the Department of Music Practical skills Attitude toward work Dependability Past participation in department activities Career potential Grade point average Financial need Students who are awarded assistantships are assigned to projects within specific areas of the department such as accompanying or working in the recording studio or libraries. The assignments are based on student interest and the needs of the department. Note: One of the assistantships has been named in memory of Brandon Vukovich. It will be awarded to an oboe/double reed student.
