Imagine participating by invitation in the International Wind Music Festival in Hawaii; spending a week in New York City performing in its beautiful cathedrals and at Weill Auditorium, Carnegie Hall; performing a solo with the UE Symphony Orchestra as winner of a concerto competition; singing a lead role in an opera production; or studying for a semester in the English countryside at our Harlaxton campus. All these opportunities are open to you as a University of Evansville music student.
More than 90 concerts and recitals were given last year. These included faculty recitals which showcased the talent of our performing faculty, our faculty woodwind and brass quintets, our resident string quartet and guest artists. Students performed as members of three different choirs, two different bands, orchestra, two jazz bands and a variety of chamber ensembles.
In all degree programs, emphasis is placed on your academic and musical development and on your career preparation and placement.
